“灯挂”考述——兼谈明式家具“灯挂椅”的命名理据

- 灯挂是中国传统照明工具，曾在江浙地区广泛使用；灯挂椅是靠背椅的一种款式，是较为普及的明式椅子样式之一，犹以“苏作”造型为经典。文章考述灯挂的历史、造型、使用地域及民俗功能，并结合明式椅类家具的命名规律，解读灯挂椅的命名理据，发掘其名称背后所蕴含的文化内涵，以证“灯挂椅因造型与苏州地区的灯挂相似而得名”的观点，亦为明式家具的命名解读提供启发。
- Abstract:
- Lamp hanger is a traditional lighting tool, and Lamp-hanger chair is a classic Ming-style furniture. By collecting objects, ancient images and documents, this paper examines the history, modeling and cultural influence of Lamp hanger, and then, on the basis of finding out the naming law of Ming-style chair furniture, interprets the "similarities" between Lamp hanger and Lamp-hanger chair, and analyzes the naming motivation of Lamp-hanger chair. It is hoped that this discussion can explore more cultural connotation of Lamp-hanger chair and provide inspiration for the interpretation of the name of Ming-style furniture.
