从传教士的步履到“美育救国”,再到今天中国的改革开放、经济腾飞,中西绘画艺术的交流与碰撞从“星星之火”发展到迅猛的全球化趋势。19世纪中叶至今,常熟绘画在整体上呈现出融汇中西绘画特征的倾向。庞薰琹、李咏森、陆抑非、钱延康等常熟画家的艺术以一种深刻的方式反映了社会经济、文化层面的聚变,也成为我们循迹艺术传统沿革的出发点。本文从近代以来一些具有代表性的常熟画家出发,从地域美术与地域文化、地域性与艺术创作的层面展开叙述,呈现一些观察,以资讨论。

From the steps of missionaries to "Aesthetic Education to Save the Nation", to today’’s China’’s reform and opening up and economic boom, the exchange and collision of Chinese and Western painting art has developed from the "single spark" to the rapid globalization trend. From the middle of the 19th century to the present, Changshu painting has shown a tendency to merge the characteristics of Chinese and Western paintings as a whole. The art of Changshu painters such as Pang Xunqin, Li Yongsen, Lu Yifei, Qian Yankang, in a profound way reflects the socio-economic and cultural fusion, and has become the starting point for us to follow the evolution of art traditions. Starting from some representative Changshu painters in modern times, this article narrates from the levels of regional art and regional culture, regionality and artistic creation, and presents some observations for discussion.
